The dynamic pressure is the source of energy for sailing boats,
windmills and wind power plants.
It comes from the kinetic energy of the gas in motion so it depends on velocity and density of the gas flow.
To know the drag of an object in motion at a certain speed or the push which the wind acts on an object, is necessary calculate the dynamic pressure.
The total pressure is the sum of static pressure and dynamic pressure.

The wind speed can be also expressed using the Beaufort scale, for this reason in addition to
the dynamic pressure value is reported also the typed speed converted in Beaufort degrees.
